Supporting an Inclusive Experience in Higher Education e-Learning Course

Providing students with the fundamental basis for understanding issues around equality, diversity and inclusion within higher education

We all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. This should go without saying. But more than just being the right thing to do, respecting others is enshrined in law and University policies.

Our new e-Learning course aims to provide students with the fundamental basis for understanding issues around equality, diversity and inclusion within higher education and will equip students with practical tools to challenge discriminatory behaviour and to interact with other students in an inclusive and supportive way.

The course is aimed at all students and complements our other support in the area of tackling discrimination and race inequalities. This course is available to purchase on an institutional licence only.

The course has been co-created with the University of Surrey.

In this module we will support students to become self-aware of their advantages and disadvantages and how they shape not only our experiences but the world around us.

Module 2: Dignity and respect; Acceptable Behaviours

We can support students to recognise behaviours that are deemed unacceptable and can provide further guidance and support on how to address these behaviours.

Module 3: Dignity and respect; Accountability in Action

In this module we will consider practical ways of becoming an ally and techniques to disrupt and report unacceptable behaviours.
